vintage in cabinet oven - $50 (Greenville, TX)

ken's profile picture
Probably not self-cleaning but thought Id post.

***********************************************************************************

I upgraded all my appliances during a kitchen remodel. This oven works perfect. It is the in cabinet style. The picture doesn't show it well but the door is more of a yellow color. 24"x24" 220V. asking $50

**Also check out my "Online Finds" thread in SS from today (7/10). There are two single wall ovens there. I didn't post here because they weren't colors you specified.

ya, pretty BOL, but other than that, it's the general vintage we're looking for. Harvest Gold is our first choice, followed by Coppertone. The GEs are fairly common so one will pop up nearby at some point, I'm sure.

Greenville, SC.  Just a painted finish on the door, it could be repainted - if the item is still for sale.

are the type & vintage I'm looking for, they're fairly common so will wait for one to pop up close by.

Black and white so common

It's going to show up eventually, but is this what you're looking for, only in those stated colors? Can the panel of black be changed to your desired color?

that's pretty much it.. it's one of the later models with the vacuum fluorescent display rather than a rolling card digital or analog clock. GE made a ton of great working wall ovens over 15-20 or so years, so they're not at all rare.

Cool Flair, but no Electri-Clean.

Hi Roger, if it is for your own use I would strongly consider a Thermador SCWO, these not only work great and vent outside, but also have no messy fiberglass-door gasket to fray get dirty and fall apart and spew fiberglass around your kitchen.

And better yet look for a CMT model that combines Microwave heating [ some also have a convection fan ] and you will have the best cooking, cleaning wall oven ever. I have an extra single CMT if you have any interest.

interesting point, John...

never even considered a Thermador, having no experience with one... might it be in our desired colors of Harvest Gold or Coppertone??

Yes they came in all popular colors of the day with and with-out windows, the CMT Micro-thermal ovens only were ever produced in Black, SS and with all white doors, most with combinations of brushed aluminum trim, the extra one I have is black and brushed aluminum, probably the most popular combination TD ever made.
