Hello everybody. I have a GE washer, model WWSE3160AOWW. It has an electronic panel with dials and a push to start button. It also has cycle lights. It has 16 cycles, super capacity, exclusive auto-balance system which it was, at the time. It also has a quiet by design feature. It run on gentle speed at the last part of the main wash even when set to normal/fast. When it goes into spin, it starts on slow and then goes to fast speed. I have seen what the innerworkings look like. The motor, transmission, pulleys and belt seem to be built tough. At times, I smell gear oil at times, like I have on my filter-flo. For those of you who had the old GE and then transferred to the new ones, did any of you smell gear oil? Did they smell the same? I know mine did. Is the transmission oil the same type that was used in the filter-flo or did they use a different type? I am just curious. The gearbox is a steel drive gearbox with all steel gears by the way. Thanks.
