Congratulations!! Really nice machines. They are activated when you to choose one of the cycle buttons. I believe the console light comes on only when the machine is operating. Enjoy using them! |

Dreams do happen -pastel yellow is one of my fav's.
You'll soon learn how to plug it in, turn it on, wind it up, blow it out….oh, sorry, that's from an oldtimer song from the 1960's, "Little GTO" but it almost applies to getting your machine up and running. It can't be THAT hard to operate, or they wouldn't have sold so many. Best wishes on your new "toy". :-) |

Maytags do have a short pause from the time the fill stops and agitation begins. There is a great video posted a little farther down in this thread that shows exactly how a Maytag 906 operates, inside and out, start to finish. Watch that video Mark, and you will know everything you need as to how yours operates.

I had them in the back of my truck. Drove from Long Beach to Phoenix, passing through Palm Springs. If I would have known you were intrested in them too, I would have started a bidding war. LOL. I passed through the day prior to the bridge being washed out. Glad I didn't wait an extra day. |

I had those two Maytags, this Lady Kenmore combo and this Guild TV all in the bed of my Toyota Tacoma. Not too shaby for just a 5.5 ft bed. I had the TV on the tailgate. |

Mark, you can find a new pump on eBay. Those old clamps suck. Use whatever you can find at Home Depot or Lowes or Ace and get over it. |
