Another month already and lots to see.
Lets kick off with a LOVELY blue vintage kitchen, had I not spent hours and hours working on the kitchen in my new house (well not so new now) or if it were not as nice as it is I would be seriously tempted myself. CLICK HERE TO GO TO vacbear58's LINK on eBay |

but no so nice - I think this would have been much cheaper than the blue one when new, I imagine they moved the (later) oven to that weird position

Binatone style. Seriously it looks like they are eating All Bran, to be followed by crinkle cut chips - not cooked on this, that's for sure.

1960s this time. Again my parents had this kettle or one very similar - ours had red handle and knob. It was an offer on the back of the Cornflakes packet.

Ian
I wondered about blocking up my back door as that would be the only way I could get that sink unit into my kitchen. Apparently the dishwasher is not for sale as is that beautiful (get the sarcasm in my voice) cooker hood. I wondered how old the dishwasher might be - if original to the kitchen I would have expected décor panels but perhaps the Germans had semi integrated that early on. I have some limited experience of mid 80s Neff dishwashers and this does not look like them at all. I think you are right about the Superheat, in which case it is not a Superheat, maybe Mike can enlighten us as to the model Al |

I think this is an earlier version of this quite long running cooker - eventually this model was merged with the Jackson Hallmark which would have been one of its main competitors

Serial No. is December 1989 I believe which should make this amongst the last of the Spinarinses - 41 years after they were introduced. This is quite expensive for what it is and they only spin at 1400rpm

Reply #12 - I remember seeing dishes offered and other kitchen items occasionally, on the back of some cereals the adults would eat, but never on our over-sugared but good-tasting kids cereals. That's a beauty, that electric kettle.
Reply #38 - For the morning laugh, I thought this was a toaster oven or something, without reading the identification. ha. It strikes me that design was so different from US products, and not to criticize, they are what they are/were but to my eye, these products have a simpler and less expensive look. I'm guessing they were all more affordable, designed not to be too pretentious, and fit, of course, into smaller geometries of space. Thanks for sharing these, Alistair. The yellow kitchen has an oven that might work for "lefties", or ambi-dextrous people, but agree…it's in a weird spot. |

We had that exact yellow on doors and drawers along with alternating woodgrain fake of course!! It was the first fitted kitchen we had in 1972 as that was when our fridge freezer bought from Bejam was installed.
The odd place of the oven in that kitchen is I am guessing to allow an elderly person unable to reach up to use it I think its a question of swapping it with the above cupboards...! Austin |

Phil
I can see how you might have thought that DW was an oven - toaster or counter top ovens are quite unusual here - not unknown but not common. I always find this sort of dishwasher a bit strange, you would think them designed for small kitchens but small kitchens generally cannot sacrifice that much counter space. I believe one of these, branded Servis, will be joining the dishwasher collection at my home. |

I am finding this one hard to date. The mechanism is something akin to products not seen here much since about the mid 1950s at the latest but the styling and design seem much later, like 1960s although the cord looks older than that.

Reply #75 is the same machine I have but mine is white. I've had it for about 10 years, purchased new. The only thing I've had done is had the water inlet disperser above the detergent drawer replaced twice because not all the fabric softener was getting removed from the drawer. I also have the matching dryer. I paid about $2200 CAD for both. It washes very well.

This is probably more of a restoration project that it superficially looks, but it is not a bad price

Seem to be no end of Hoovermatics at the moment. It looks like it needs quite a lot of TLC but the price is right

This kitchen must have been quite something when it as new. I would reckon the cupboards and oven/microwave to be mid 1980s. The F&P fridge freezer alter 90s, early 00's, the hood is much later.

Scholtes Hob
These were very popular in 1960s and early 1970s upmarket kitchens with split level cookers although more normally seen as gas rather than electric. This is the first time I have seen one of these on ebay. The hated solid rings although two of them do have simmerstats CLICK HERE TO GO TO vacbear58's LINK on eBay |

Looking at the ball shaped feet on the item standing on the right of the Hoovermatic I'd say it was something I grew up with; a Flatley Drying Cabinet. Ian |

This is from the same seller as in reply #88. From the 1980s, the only snag is that it seems to be missing its lower panel. You may recall I posted a while back about me getting a mid 1980s Miele push button DW. Well a couple of weeks after a similar model to this one was posted on ebay and I thought I would but it for the baskets to put in the PB model. No way, the dishwasher was far too nice to trash

If this were the next model I would have gone mad for it, these hardly ever turn up. Its an interesting 1970s kitchen too by the looks for it (no, its not for sale!) By the size of that oven housing it had a Moffat originally, looks like a Neff 1057 now which could be as "new" as 1985 and looks to be a Philips tumble drier in there too

I think these were sold in US as well. I do not see a whip amongst the accessories, does anyone know if this had a whipping and or creaming accessory? I suppose so as there is a spatula paddle
