Hello everybody. My mom has an lg tromm washer, model wm2487hrma and matching dryer, model dle7177rm. They have performed flawlessly. The dryer will eventually be on another post in that section. Back to the washer, it has cleaned just about everything from under the sun that my mom and I put in it. One time, my mom and I put it through the ultimate test. We had a full load of darks that were very dirty and smelly. The jeans were the worst! So, my mom and I set it to cold/cold with the cotton/normal setting - sometimes called cotton/sturdy. We used Gain laundry detergent and matching fabric softener. Not only did they clean and soften the clothes, but they freshened them too! The only thing that the washer banished was the dirt and stains flawlessly! By the way, she got the pair in september of 2007. It was in the TOL range. That washer proved and still proves that cold water can do more than just preserve colors. It can fight stains too! It does have a light, steam and water circulation. When she first ran it, she commented that it sounded like a jet plane either landing or taking off. She has had no repairs at all. They are 8 years old and still going strong! It seems like lg washers and dryers are built tough. Only time will tell.

destroyed the smell

They also took the nasty smell out too! Ultimate in cleaning and freshening power!
