At the weekend I acquired my first piece of Servis to add to my collection, for free which is always a bonus.
Overall the machine is in good condition for its nearly 40 years of age, however it's not without its problems, worst of all half of the fascia sticker is missing. Currently the machine is in bits for a spinner bearing change - thanks Mathew for the comprehensive guide! Whilst I'm on the topic it has been a very easy machine to disassemble since the cabinet comes off and everything remains intact with the underframe.
The machine needs the following bits (I'm already sorting the bearings out). Can anybody help me out by posting the links to the correct parts or even let me know if you have some parts that you are willing to sell.
Wash pump to wash tub hose with rubber 'helmet'
One spare rubber 'helmet'
Rubber rinse inlet spout for the spinner
Filter insert for the agitator
Fascia sticker
Spinner drive belt
Spinner pump belt
Rubber drain hose
I hope somebody is able to help, I've definitely noticed how spare parts are harder to find for Supertwins than they are for Supermatics.
I've got a wreck of a supertwin 100 with a great condition control panel, what were the chances?
Got a call last weekend from a friend who was at a house clearence warehouse, said they had a servis twintub, but it was a wreck, cabinet rusty and the hoses just fell apart. So I went to see if it was still there on saturday, it was and I got it for a fiver.
Also I've found you both new pump and spinner belts.
So you can tick off control panel, and both belts off your list, the hoses I don't think are upto much and obviously I intend to salvage every other spare off it, as there are other supertwins awaiting repairs within the group.
