If the normal cycle on dishwashers had the high temp wash option locked on by default, it would be easy to just push normal and start. My 2007 whirlpool has the heat dry as the default to normal. I just push normal, high temp, heat dry to turn it off and just hit start. It would be better if the high temp wash was the default to the normal cycle! Dishes come out much cleaner than with just normal and heat dry. What do you think? I just use normal and high temp wash! That's all I need! And yes, I do use rinse aid! As a side note, I noticed that the spray arms speed up when Cascade rinse aid is used in my 2007 whirlpool.

I don't know about your particular model. But have you ever tried to just push the start button after a cycle has been run. With a lot of models, they remember the last cycle you selected and all you need to do is push start to run the same cycle again.

Some dishwashers have this feature. I'm just not sure if the machine you have, has it.

Then it wouldn't meet energy star regulations. On mine, just touching start the machine uses the same cycle and options as the previous load, "remembers" the last load cycle and options.

Mine does.

Mine remembers it when you push start. I just use it all the time. I would just push start, but it would be better if high temp wash was programmed to the normal cycle as the default setting. I'm just saying.
