It must be!  Last week I found this at the ReStore where I volunteer.  The model is EWU1005.  It's super clean, and seems to work perfectly.  The only issues were the racks & the detergent cup, which had a crack in it.  I was able to replace those with great condition parts from a doner machine.   I've been thinking of trying this out as a daily driver for a short while to see how i like it.  I've never used a reverse rack before so i'm curious (it won't be permanent as I love my Kitchenpool!)

The only thing is the machine only has a wiring diagram; no tech sheet or esterline chart to illustrate the cycles/options.   Does anyone have a service manual for this model they'd be willing to scan (or send) me a copy of ?  I'll be glad to cover any costs and would really appreciate it.

Here are some pics.  Fairly powerful machine and somewhat noisy (even with the more compact power module).  That will be a point of on-going commentary from my partner!!  :)

Can't wait to try it out!

That's a Beautiful Machine.

Looks minty fresh. Good luck and I hope you like the performance.

Electronic MT RR DW

combo52's profile picture

Hi Alan, as it happens we are pulling out this exact model MT DW today or maybe tomorrow from a hi-end in Georgetown in DC. The customer says it is still working but it has had a good bit of use and the customer does not want to chance having any more breakdowns during the holiday season so we are installing a new MT DW.

Alan I can see if our customer still has the instruction book etc. and I will let you know, also if you or anyone else wants the DW or any parts speak up before we recycle it.

Congrats!

On such a beautiful find.
It's in great condition.
I think I have the sales brochure for that model actually, so I'll go and have a look for it later and double check that and I can find some info on it for you, possibly. You'll probably enjoy this machine if you are a KitchenPool fan.
It's quite noisy, but very powerful indeed.

To John, I would love to get the racks and the spray arms from that machine.
I'm not even close to aware of what the costs would be, but I really need them for my machine and will have to do what I have to do to get them.
If you remember the pictures I posted way back of my RR, it's not been treated kindly during it's lifetime. And the lower spray arm is cracked and that's created it's own unique issue with the machine.
Let me know if we can arrange something, thanks.

Recycling an RR...

Is it a direct drive machine? If it is I would like to motor ( or possibly the entire pump assembly) out of it!

Cameron

And btw...that is a beautiful electronic control machine!!

Cool Electronic Controls!

I must admit, I have been hanging out to see the time when an AW user took home one of the last RR machines. The electronic controls on this are clean, use colours very well and, well, who can't love a Vacuum-Fluorescent Display?

I'm sure you'll be impressed with both the machine's performance and loading abilities. It seems other members here have been very happy with their machines in threads past :)

Thanks everyone for the nice comments!  I'll be installing it this week & will let you know my thoughts.   Since I can't locate an esterline chart does anyone know if the cycle has a thermal hold in the last rinse?  I know it heats the water for the main wash (& will thermal hold until a pre-set temp is reached), but it only seems to heat the final rinse for the last 5 minutes of that step.  Also, does anyone know what the pre-set thermal hold temp is for the main wash?

Thank you John for the offer of the owners manual.  I appreciate it!

PHEW.....

That was a lot of typing!!!

But I typed it as it appears in the brochure and I truly hope it helps you out with your most awesome and beautiful machine.
And for anyone else, hopefully this helped you in some way or you learned something new about this most amazing machine today.

After previewing my post, I see that the CYCLE breakdown graph I tried to create didn't turn out so well.
Hope you can "decipher" it all ok :)

Scott, thank you very much for posting this!!  This is a very nice and kind gesture (and a lot of typing!!)

I really appreciate it.  I hope your fingers don't go on strike!  😊

Thanks again!

Ooops....sorry, my fingers haven't woken up yet from all that typing last night!

;)

Glad to be of help to you.
We AW.org'ers have to stick together and help each other out.
I also know what it's like to be sitting there with your new "baby" but completely oblivious to it's functions while hoping that somebody from here would post some info and hopefully not keep one waiting too long, if possible.
I'd also like to think that the Universe helps and repays those who help others in situations as such, and perhaps someday, the favour will be returned to me if/when needed by a kind AW.org'er.
You have all been very helpful to me as it is.
I can't wait to hear of your adventures and experiences with this machine.
You know very well that I am a HUGE fan of these machines, and I truly do not think it will disappoint you in any way-especially having the absolute TOL model with every bell & whistle Maytag ever put in/on their machines.
It will clean better than you could ever imagine and should prove to be fun and very flexible in your loading and usage.
Enjoy!!!
