Just came across this great picture, just had to post it on here. Not sure but i think it's a Candy washer & a Philips dryer.

Taken here in the UK Al.

Do you think it's a Candy Domingo. Do you remember them.

It does not look like a HP Iced Diamond to me, I would have said the door trims were chrome rather than white. The cooker is somewhat unusual for here too, not unknown (single oven, "second oven" is cupboard for gas bottle), but unusual. But that style of cupboard is not one that I have ever seen here before. Shame their are not some sockets in view. That looks like a water heater over the sink.

The WM might be an earlier model. The programme selector was somewhat larger than usual with no "bar" across it to select the cycle but rather it was moulded with raised areas on the top that allowed you to rotate the dial. There were a couple of oblong push switches on the front and I think door release too (looked like a switch) if I remember right. Pretty BOL in late 1970s, I had one for a few months in 1990

Zanussi or Tricity

I think it could be a Zanussi Fridge Freezer looking at this better picture.

Is it a abandoned home?
If it is what a shame to leave it to deteriorate?

Hi Craig,

the washing machine is definitely a Candy Domino, in fact I first though it was the 21WD Turbomatic washer dryer...but then why would they have a dryer.

The dryer is definitely a Philips, going to take a wild guess, a D163?

I wish I could get my hands on that Domino...

Brandon.

Abandoned kitchen

The second picture does give a better view of that washer and I would agree its seems to be a Candy later than I previously thought. Although from that era and series I don't think the dryer is a D163 (I have one) as it appears to have at least two knobs on the control panel - I think there was a version with a delay timer if my memory is right. Where is the picture supposed to be taken, the kitchen does not look British to me. And I don't think the FF was Zanussi branded either, it does not look like a Zanussi I have ever seen

Hi all.
I think the Philips dryer is a D170 (or AWB170 for the full number) and a grand machine they are too. Very smart looking - always been fond of pre-Series 90 Philips'.
The middle dial is for the half/full heat, whilst the right hand dial is the 'Sensalarm' - basically controls the volume of the end cycle buzzer...

Now to the washer!
Definitely a Candy and definitely a Domino, but a rarer version as it (to my eyes) only looks to have two buttons. These will be Door Release and On/Off.
Being a variable temperature machine it will the basic model of the mid range, if that makes sense.
Below is model D9.07, which I would place as being middle model of the budget range.

Candy machines are a nightmare to understand, as there is little by way of brochures about for them, their model numbering seems to make little/no sense and we had different models to the Continent.
Also, we had a number of exclusive models around during the Domino era, sold through the likes of the Leccy Board, Comet, Currys, Rumbelows and Co-Op.

Which magazines provide model listings, but which one the kitchen machine is, is difficult to pin down.

Its definitely not the UK thats for sure. Under the sink is a bottle of either 'Dron' liquid - or 'Dreft' both european trade names for what we know as Fairy liquid here and thats a rather 90s bottle of the lemon flavoured stuff.

Only way I suspect of knowing which country its taken in is to identify if that is Dron or Dreft and figure it out from there
