ad: " I have a 1950's GE 'combination' refrigerator for sale:

1. Mode LH-12M, light blue color. It is a lazy Susan style (the shelves can be turned).
2. It was working when we stopped using it some 10 years ago. We kept it in the kitchen for extra storage space.
3. It is not cooling in a recent test, though there is circulating sound.
4. It, in general, looks very good. No second painting on it.
5. From smoke and pet free home"

It's a '55

But who cares now?  They killed it by letting it sit idle for ten years.  That's everybody's loss.

Very True Ralph.

We had that exact model in our Summer Cottage and was going strong in 1976. After we sold the cottage, I'm sure it was replaced with a "Frost Free" model.  Oh, the agony of defrosting... Yeah, Right.

Looks like a nice one, but if it doesn't work, it's way overpriced. I wonder how long they left it plugged in for the test, and if they plugged it in to a wall receptacle or an undersized extension cord.

It's right down the road from where I am now, but I don't have any need for it.

It's like selling a dead dog. Looks good, but not very practical to own.

There's not enough information here.  It's very possible that they didn't let it run long to test.  They say they're open to an offer.  At least they tried to offer it for sale.
