This popped up in my YouTube recommended list last night.
Thought I would share it for a good laugh...

I had the Kenmore version of that machine. Wish I had kept it. Hoping one shows up in my area.

Never seen this before. LOL. It's like a scene from the Stepford Wives where the programming was kind of hinky, like you'd expect from back then.

From what I've heard, it .....rolls on casters.
Not wheels, but .....casters.

Yes, basically a full sized WP washer in a "short" c

Had a similar WP portable/convertible washer and it was a treasure. Sold it on to another member to make room for the AEG set.

Posted that commercial awhile back IIRC. Husband becomes so fed up with his wife's total single minded determination to "push" that washer around, he takes matters into his own hands. *LOL* Thus Her Indoors finds out where the "convertible" part comes in.

Washer had every cycle of its larger siblings; Superwash, two speeds, three long and robust spray rinses before and after final rinse.

Convertible WP 24" washers

combo52's profile picture

These used the same 16 gallon tub [ 8# capacity } as WP belt drive washers used since the 1950s through the early 80s when the DD washers came out and replaced this size washer altogether.

Around 1974 this size washer was replaced with a faster spinning 24" compact washer, this new design was built in stationary, portable and convertible models. This new design had a 11 gallon water capacity and a load size around 5-6#s clothes capacity.
