Please could someone with the know date my Hoovermatic? Found in a very sorry state. I have sorted the spinner leak, changed the spinner motor and cleaned it within an inch of its life! Now running beautifully. Didn't think i was going to like the Non Deluxe model but can honestly say i dont mind manually rinsing, the results have been great.

Serial no T504220500813

Thank you.

May 1982

That's model T5042, 2 meaning 1982 and 05 meaning May followed by the rest of the serial number.

Pleased to see you've got it running well, I prefer this colour scheme over the darker T5044, I have used the deluxe version, but I personally don't like the dark brown colour scheme.

I think it's just having used the various other models with white, silver and grey lids, I find the machine is darker to stand over and look at, the suds don't look as bright some how. Daft in a way as I've not thought this with hotpoint and servis twin tubs.

Anyway all great machines

Thanks for posting

Mathew

Hey Matthew, thank you so much for the info. I will admit i do miss the auto rinse but its not much effort doing it manually. I was surprised to see that it has the spout over the spinner but no water shute attached in it. I guess they used generic parts then. I would love a T5090 to go with our grey kitchen!
