Mine

Was a MOL model, but same deal, basically. It was a fabulous machine--until the detergent dispenser conked out. We moved to San Francisco shortly thereafter, and it went on to live with someone else.

The one pictured in the ad may just be a victim of crap detergent causing a lot of scale--it'd need a citric acid spa day to see what lay beneath. The stains may be something else; usually, the rust is around the sump, not out in the open tub. But, you never know!

If this one shared full DNA with mine, it had metal impellers, made from pot metal. Imagine the fun of re-doing the pump on THAT.

I had a premonition when I posted this DW that someone will ask about the wall oven, because I had the same thoughts - what are those? Tappan or ?

It's definitely a gas wall oven.  Probably Tappan.

OMG !!!

I remember reading that Thread from years ago.

Geez... Nate, You should submit a review of one of the Teaspoon of Water washing New Machines today for CR.  There will probably be a vast increase of Meds for the CR review board after reading one of your reviews.  Also increase of Depends sales from  people peeing in their pants from laughter after reading one of your reviews.

CR will never be the same.
