I'll call on that one tomorrow - that will be two WO 65 Frigidaires from St Joe, both with bad timers.

Around here, even with a bad timer that would be going for at least $140 at the ReStore.

Bad Timers

When I got my WO-65-2 the timer was bad. I had it rebuilt and it works fine now.
I think the reason these timers went bad was that all of the current was channeled through the timer and thus it caused them to fail. I would take another one even if the timer didn't advance.

Yes, it's sold. I called the Restore this morning and made arrangements to pay for it over the phone and I'll drive down to pick it up early next week. It's a bit of a haul at 1:45, but for a unimatic, it's worth the trip. The lady told me that the washer had caused quite a stir when it came in, oldest washer most had ever seen. She said the timer "doesn't turn on it's own" but they hooked it up and all other functions tested just fine.

Thanks for the searching and posting the ad!!

Great score Greg!   The timer may possibly have failed due to 'black timer motor death'... I hope it's not too big an issue to repair.

That's great! Looking forward to seeing and hearing more about it.

I'm so glad someone here - you! - were able to grab it and by phone, no less.

You're welcome and good luck!

Phil
