You would think that the washer builders could come out with one that could run off a 220V 15 or 20A outlet-that should power the heater and motor and the same time. |

Those GE dryers that ran on 115 took over 2 hours to dry a small load and every salesperson out there warned customers against doing it. I think if you have the money to afford one of those fancy FL's you have the wherewithal to be able to provide the current. It would be interesting if they started designing some of these machines to have an auxiliary temp booster (like they do on professional dishwashers) that could be gas-fired as well as electric. I've considered installing one of those "on-demand" gas water heaters just to provide insanely hot water for the appliances.
