I now have a variety of GE agitators but not of which I can use in my GE Filter-Flo because they are all missing the rubber piece that holds the agitator in. The agitator that came with my GE has the rubber piece in the agitator, but how do I get it out? Do I need to remove the whole metal spline or is there some trick I am missing?

Try using the hook end of a wire coat hanger. Bend the end of the hook closer together so you can reach down and hopefully grab that seal. Hope this helps!
