Something that will keep you busy and mind occupied over the long cold winter months?

Nice style! I like the "gas" and "electric" symbols on the control panels!

Wow, very cool.  I *think* these are '59 models (rounded cabinets and a four hole tub).  I believe the '60 panels were similar to the '61 I picked up last year.  Any Whirlpool from this time frame is tough to find.

Whirlpool!

That is one awsome set. I believe this was a 1959 because it was before the magic mix filter. I am surprised it only offered a 10 minute wash in the main cycle. I always thought WP was always good for at least 14 minutes.
Thanks for such a great display!
Peter

Would love to see this house.

This must by one of the first square body sets. Wasn't that after 1961?

that is an awesome set. Would be great to see them all cleaned up and running. You don't see anything styled like that anymore. The lid handle on the washer is like a piece of jewelry for the machine.

There's an extra hashmark before 10 that isn't labeled (12).  Could also be that 14 mins can be done by setting it at the edge of the Normal outline.

It's apparently a suds-saver, and there's a button at the right end of Gentle that's presumably for a console light.

Interesting temp selections.  Seems to be Hot, Med, W-n-W Med, Warm, W-n-W Warm, Cold.  Hot, Med, and Warm presumably have a warm rinse, with the two W-n-W selections (and Cold) being a cold rinse?

Cold rinse is exactly what W'n'W meant.

You will definitely have to keep us posted on what shape they are in and what you need to do to get them up and going.

Great score!

Glad you got them!

I don't know the exact year, but they are from sometime between '57 and '60. The cabinets were restyled in '61, with different embossing at the bottom and near the top of the front. That design on the bottom front did continue for many more years on Canadian models, though. The '56 and earlier were totally different, with much rounder looking cabinets.

Oh that brings back memories.  Friends in Dallas had that from new until about 1962 when it was replaced by a slant front with the oval window and water temps were on the timer dial.

1959 confirmed.  I have a bunch of parts literature picked-up via eBay a couple years ago.  Dryers go back to 1949 but washers unfortunately only to 1966.
