Were among the easiest to service of any automatic washer in the 50s-the 80s. Even a belt change is only a 15 minute job if you know what you are doing.
This is reasons that these washers were so popular among washer rebuilding shops, the other machine that was also popular were GE FF washers after 1961.
Most rebuilding shops never bothered with helical Drive MTs due to the difficulty of making repairs on these washers, they were usually passed over and junked. |
