That Kenmore 600 was my family's first dishwasher. Same color, great cleaning d/w, though it used 14 gallons for a full cycle. $179.00 on sale at Sears. 1967 model and one model down from the Lady K of the day. |

Wow! Brings back memories. We had that same dishwasher, same color, except it was the Lady Kenmore version with the light over the keys, and no dial. Just the cycle lights. It cleaned well. Later when I was in college, I ran across a white version of the this model. I replaced the motor, and it lasted another 5 years before it started leaking pretty bad.
Wish I lived closer. I would love to buy it from you! Mike |

Nice Roto-Rack!! Would you be able to post the model number from the tag on the back of the machine? It could help with dating the dishwasher. I'd have to guess it's a mid- to late-60s model - I can't help but wonder if the pushbuttons on the rear panel light up...
I remember that scene in 'Close Encounters' with the Roto-Rack spraying water as the stove next to it was sparking! I had to have one when I saw that... LOL |

Here's the kitchen scene from "Close Encounters of the Third Kind". It actually starts about 3:43. It's a Kenmore Roto-Rack, but it has the round button on the front. One direction opened the lid. The other direction started the dishwasher. Our second KM was just like this one.
