I am selling my Penncrest Imperial Dual Electric Range, it needs two thermostats, one for the upper oven due to the fact that the oven temp is 75 degrees hotter than the original setting. Also the lower oven is at least 50 degrees lower than the original temperature setting, so that would need replacing as well. The clock needs replacing as well or fixing as does not work. Now for the good news, the lights all work, the enamel is in excellent shape, and overall, she is in A 1 condition as far as eye appeal, cleanliness, and four burners work very well! I live in St. Charles MN, Phone # 715-671-3680.

First time I've ever seen a Penncrest version of the GE Americana range.

I think

Its actually the Hotpoint version instead of the GE, as most all Pennys appliances were Hotpoint.

Hans, I agree it was sourced through Hotpoint, but I think by this time the Hotpoint hi-lo ranges were based on the GE Americana, and made in Louisville rather than in Chicago. The cooktop has the wide side areas that were used to accommodate the pushbuttons on the earlier versions of the GE.
