Hi everyone,

I am new to the forum. I found this old washer in a house and took it to storage. I dont know much about it. It is in great condition however needs a good dusting. I would love to learn more about it and ultimately sell it to someone who would appreciate this beauty. No idea as to what this is worth so I will lean into you all to guide me here if possible. Any information is appreciated and all offers will be considered as well. Thanks!!

Doesn't look like an ABC-O-Matic would pass the wine goblet test.

Well, it was not the best of installations.

Yes good point Tom

Kelvinator used to set up a machine start a wash and then close the lid and balance a nickel on the glass window. They also claimed you could wash paper towels and they wouldn't shred. But that one I've never seen.

BTW the ABC is in the clutches of a member and is on its way to Canada--yet again we are raided of our american treasures by "interlopers from the north"

P.S. I'm pretty sure this is a 1955 model.

I usually don't get the really rare and valuable stuff. I can't afford doing this! I mostly save things that would otherwise be likely to end their existence in the recycling pile!

Jon, I'd slap you but I'm too grateful for all the help that you and Eddie have been with closing in on this incredibly cool automatic washer! I was visiting my father yesterday and he said he just knew something was up when I got a message from Eddie to say the machine had been picked up... Chris waited until we were in the relative privacy of the car to tell me what HE thought.

Now, I've got to figure out when and how to get down there to bring the ABC to its new home in Ogden!

And once again, my heartfelt thanks to Eddie and you for this. Youse guyz is da best, as they would say in Joisey... This really is a great group, what else can I say - THANK YOU!!!

ABC tonight - it's in fine shape really - but now after I fed him
German dinner and he ate all the food he wanted to play
So we got out the Youngstown , the Easy , the 1-18 , Kelvinator , The 1960 GE , the
Bendix and the new Speed queens !
He's now running 5 dryers at once !

The dog is exhausted, there's no food left , all the booze is gone
And I'm out of electricity

Love the Shampoo cycle. Such a cutie machine - and no peeking while it's running!
