got this washer today for $20 in "needs repair"condition-owner had replaced a bunch of parts(pump, several pc boards, inlet valve, flowmeter, boot)in attempt to correct a problem where washer would often stop mid cycle and set an error code-washer came with original parts that were replaced and examination of these found the original pump to be very badly worn and would have caused trouble...This washer has larger capacity than any of my other washers(heater too) so I will probably keep it for bulky loads once fixed :)BTW,this is the model with the black control panel and door-matching dryer in good order is avalible for $150,so I'm thinking about buying the dryer to have matched set.Washer is made in Germany (and I presume basicly a WP Duet?) Is this a good washer(and dryer)and anything I should look out for with this machine?

got the dryer

went back and bought the dryer- realizing my current DD dryers-a 2009 Asco condenser and a 1980 hotpoint were too small for max loads in the KM FL haven't looked it over too close yet,but appears dryer is made in the US.Stack kit is installed and I might install stacked next to 2012 24"GE stacked pair :)

found problem-easy repair!

got washer in position and ran a test wash-made it about halfway through cycle and then stopped with "FH"code after filling up about 1/3 up the window and washing that way a few min.-the rubber hose to the pressure switch had came unclipped and a small hole was worn in it from motion of tub.Once fixed, and a complete cycle ran,a large amount of nasty brown muck was pumped out the drain-could hear the pump slow down a little as it choked on the clumps of bioscum that dried up and released over the couple weeks of disuse-now time for a few cleanup loads :)Washer has inverter driven 3ph induction motor and a pretty fast spin speed with an "extra high"option for spins :)

Sounds Great...

And to give her a real cleaning, use 2 tbsp of cascade on the tub clean after the initial dump of the clean water.

Then fill up to about 1/3 of window with hot (manual if need be),...it shouldn't dump...and then let it scour the drum/tub during the highspeed clean.

After its done, put on Quick Wash, and let it fill once with warmest water, empty, turn to spin/drain...and Voila!...A very Clean Whirlpool.

Good Luck,

LaVidaBoem

odor problem

washer works great and a keeper for sure, but a serious stench was noticed-ran several bleach-heavy cleanup loads and odor seems to be going away :)
