Did the problems with the controls start with a certain model year, or were they troublesome from the beginning? We never had any trouble with the switches on the '53, and the only troubles came from the speed heat unit, and the wiring from the door switch to the oven light. |

The control problems started with the infinite heat controls so your 53 would not have known the problems because of the 5 fixed heats. |

Thanks, guys. I actually like the 5 heat settings, as I know exactly what they each are. I'm always fussing with the infinite controls on the Tappan (Frigidaire) I'm using now. |
