You have found a Westinghouse Slant Front Automatic Washer speed changer or you could also call it a 2 speed transmission, these were used on a WH FL washers from just after WW2-1955 and some commercial versions of WH washers for some time after 1955. This unit changed from tumble speed to spin speed when the solenoid was energized. |
