Hello everybody. What are the blades of the whirlpool tall tub dishwasher food disposer blades made out of. I was always under the impression that they were made out of plastic on Whirlpools while the Maytags had stainless steel chopper blades.

Thanks.

Thanks for clearing that up. Which direction does the chopper operate during the wash/rinse/chopping of food?

You can see virtually all the parts of any dishwasher or appliance you're curious about by putting in the model number into a repair parts website.

Like so:

Perhaps you can take a moment yourself to look up the parts diagrams for that model to find some answers ... but you can expect that any different models that use the same pump & motor design will have the same parts.
