OUCH!

Much unhappiness here. Don't know how representative it is.

More on Viking Dishwashers

According to this Yale Appliance site, the dishwashers are sourced from Turkey and have a 50% repair rate versus 5% for Miele. I do not know what the factor is for arriving at these figures.

I wouldn't take them if they were free, with delivery! They are nothing but way overpriced junk. These and other such "trendy" brands seem to be purchased mainly by the "nouveau riche" crowd.

If these folks would ask people who know...

Meaning most of us, we could tell them not to buy new, if you think you must spend a fortune, find a good restoration shop and spend 8 or 10 thousand on a good Chambers stove!!!

Another thought-the Viking and other high end kitchen machines look good on the cover pictures of home magazines-but bet those owners don't even cook!!That pretty Viking fridge may be stuffed with frozen pizzas and bottled water. The dishwasher may not even be used-just there. The Viking stove just heats the fozen pizza or may be used to boil the bottled water! These folks would be eating out most of the time-or the maid does the cooking.
