The path that the power to the heater takes goes through at least two thermostats, the motor centrifugal switch, the timer etc. The first thing to do is test at the terminal block on the back of the dryer and see if you really have 208 or 240 volts there, from there check out the other parts I mentioned while keeping a keen eye out for burned or broken terminals in the heater circuit. |
