Agreed. It's a parts donor at best if the problem lies in the mechanical system.
The majority of DIYers who are handy enough to make repairs have minimal knowledge about refrigeration theory and lack the equipment required to either diagnose the problem or facilitate a fix. As much as this fridge appeals to me, even if it were within close range I'd not throw $225 at it in hopes there was just a cold control issue or a loose wire somewhere. Indeed, I'd not likely pay that much for one that's in working order, unless it was exceptionally pristine and had all of its literature.
I don't know what the seller is thinking. |
