So, everybody should know V-Zug. The guys that brought the heatpump to the washer.
They re-did their machines. Some changes are:
- The new display. (They added a setting for the dryer to be viewed better from below in a stacked situation.)
- Connectivity has been added.
- The washer heatpump seems to be update due to a silent operation option for the more efficent cycles.
- They now have a start\pause button. (Previously, they had only a door open\pause button.)
- The dryers now are A+++-10% at 62dB, but there is a silent mode avaible.
- The TOL dryer has a touch screen. (Matching the TOL washer.)
- They have a completly new dryer filter layout that I never saw like that before, with one filter that is machine washable, but should not be vacuumed, and one additional filter only haveing to be cleaned once a year!
Really, everytime they launch something new, I think it can't get better. But they always find a way to improve.
I have already seen the new models on Europe's biggest "construction fair" in Basel Switzerland. Well, even though I'm a really big fan of V-Zug washers, I'm quite disappointed with the new design. There are many cost-cutting changes remarkable on the outside of the machine f.e. there is no sturdy metal door, other design elements in chrome they have changed to white plastic. I do prefer the previous series. It's only Schulthess who now offers metal doors on their TOL models.
I did expect V-Zug to add interior lights, automatic detergent dosing or something completely different and more innovative. Nevertheless, in my opinion V-Zug does offer the most practical and time-efficient programming on the Swiss and European market (f.e. Miele W1 where you can select to Hygiene-Program the option Allergowash and chose between 5 water levels and program a default sensitiv tumble-rhythm, that's just too much option to combine with one program).
It's actually the "V-ZUG Schontrommel", the steam-cycle and the reasonable washing times that would make me buy again a V-Zug Adora or even better a Unimatic.
If I only could build a washing machine out of the brands Schulthess, Miele and V-Zug, I think this would be the ultimate machine ;)
Cheers from Switzerland (Sending you a picture of a V-Zug Adora S from 2003)
