Hey there, My name is Alex I work in washer and dryer Repair, trying to save the good machines that are out there. Anyways a couple months ago we bought a set of Vintage Maytag Appliances from what we can tell they are from either the late 60's or early 70's. The other machine is of the same year but is the more upscale model. We know what is wrong with all of the machines, One washer is just a pump, the other is a timer and the dryer is most likely the automatic dry sensor but also possibly the timer. as much as we don't want to do it we have thought about tearing them down to save other machines out there and we are curious as to what anyone thinks we should do. I will provides picture if anyone wants to see them.

Pics would be very helpful. These machines aren't too complicated. A good home should become available. Model numbers would be helpful too.

The Model Numbers for the set are A606(Washer)Serial:586499SB and DE606(Dryer)Serial 329790 SB. I will get pictures for the other machine a little later today, as it is currently blocked in by about 40 other machines.

Congrats on saving this Maytag pair Alex.   These are one model down from the TOL "806" and both were built in Jan 1973.

I have a 1970 806 pair as well as a few sets from the early-mid 60's.

Kevin

I wonder what shaded white would have looked like.

If you were thinking of selling the machines complete, what sort of price are we looking at? I'm about an hour away.

Feel free to give me a call. 219-677-6483 If you are looking at all 3 complete machines, I'm thinking $140 is fair. -Matt/Alex

Negotiate

What kind of pricing were you thinking of? We honestly don't know what something like these are worth we just know that people recoil in horror when we suggest that they buy something so old.....
