GRREAT pictures!
That harvest gold 606 looks super clean & shiney! What is that in the washer in the last 2 picture? I was trying to make it out but I can't figure out what that is?? Another thing, in the first picture, it looks like the harvest gold is "shaded". Is it"shaded"? Also, I'm no expert here but, I think maybe your maytag might be kinda unusual? The reason is because this is a 606, which should of had the lower "aqua" control panel with the white timer knob, but instead it has the lower "sunglow" control panel and the aluminum timer knob. I am guessing it has the clear acrylic diamond-looking knob on the timer dial? I'm curious to know what the wording is on the water level buttons? Can you post a picture of the water level buttons? That's a purdy 606 there 76speedqueen! again, CONGRATULATIONS!!! :o) |

About the water level buttons being;
Small/medium/normal/large Or Small/medium/large/ex-large. Would this be a machine that was during the transition period?? I'm thinking because at the time of the sunglow changeover, didn't most of the maytag line up come with the funnel bleach dispenser in the lower left corner?? |

My Maytag is the shaded harvest!The timer knob is indeed the plastic "crystal" type. The water level selector buttons read: small, medium, large, extra large. It has the normal action and gentle action speed selector buttons. It has a cold, warm, and hot button which select either cold with cold rinse, warm with a cold rinse, and hot with warm rinse. I love the hot/warm combo as I demand the whitest of whites...And yes, that is my beautiful Avocado Frigidaire 1-18 next to it. I have looked behind the front panel and everything is darn near pristine. Had to remove a bunch of spider egg sacs from in there and under under the base with my vacuum. All belts look in great shape. I Did have to lift up the top and clean years of congealed soap powder buildup from the metal splash guard. The lint filter did need a good soaking in hot water and awesome cleaner and a brushing.Someone really loved and cared for this washer I am sure of that. I love the sounds of whirring it makes when it washes. My Mother thinks it may be still washing long after we are all gone and then one of my nieces can have it. She may be right....Thank You hippiedoll for your info and you other gentlemen for your comments !!!! And by the way hippiedoll that is a blue bandanna/handkerchief in the water inside the Maytag. I had just started to load it for it's maiden wash after I got it set up in my house.
