I just posted another wonderful issue of Electrical Merchandising to the Ephemera Library if anyone wants a copy. This one has a feature on the new combination washer-dryers, including a feature chart comparing all of the available models at the end of 1957. Plus a section on repairing vacuum cleaners and a story about the housewares show.

That oven situation looks like it was drawn by Aldous Huxley when the Doors of Perception were a little loose on their hinges, like during one of his mescaline experiments.

Whoever drew the Kitchen Aid-ish racks was smart not to put something in the top rack over the pan in the bottom rack.
