That's absolutely great, you guys did a great job!  The basement and machines look wonderful, Jon.  Congrats and thank you on another stellar representation of the club and it's members.

Maybe if there's a clamor in the comment section for more video, they'll put up some more footage of that Unimatic on gentle speed :-)

What an awesome job you guys did!  CNN did a great job with the story telling, editing and music!

Thanks for posting the video Greg!

Wow, that was fast!  And I don't mean the spin speed on the Charcoal Blackstone.... LOL

What a great piece - it was definitely worth plying the crew with margaritas, Jon!!

It was a tad fast I thought considering all the footage that they took too! But who knows, they might make a longer, in-depth one....

Yeah, I hate to echo Peggy Lee, with "Is that all there is?" It's great, but as others have said about diamonds and chocolate, there's not enough.

Thank all of you for making this possible.

Great to see you all enjoying yourself. Funny that the phrase "I thought I was the only one" makes so much sense to all of us. Still when I meet people and they consider my intrests funny I refer to this website. Keep up the good work and let us all enjoy our little hobby.

What a great video

You know, it might seem a bit short but for something geared at the wide world it was probably enough.

Jon, you did a wonderful job explaining what it is all about, perfectly clear and concise. When you come to the UK we are going to make videos and you are narrating them!

Collectors, esp. antique collectors

I usually ask them what their antiques do other than sit there. I make sure to tell them that the whatever looks nice and all, but what does it do now? I feel that things need a cord and plug, a crank or some other way to put them into action. John has a friend who has a way of asking me about the appliances that borders on insulting. Maybe it's just that I find my appliances so much more interesting than I do him. Maybe I'll tell him that next time. In fact, maybe that will be my response to all who ask why I like appliances; they're more interesting than people. As Harry Truman said, If you want a true friend in Washington, get a dog. I would add, maybe an appliance, too.

Great segment Jon!

You've represented all of us exceptionally well!

I'm sure they filmed a lot more, but like any TV story, it has to be edited.

I'll be posting links to two TV stories I've been filmed for here in Australia in the coming weeks.

Cheers
Leon

Jon, always the man of poise, eloquence, polish, and genteel.  Are you sure there isn't Southern heritage in your family tree?  Again everyone there did us all proud!!!  Glad to see so many were able to get there again.

It was so much fun with everyone.

The people from CNN were just a delight to be with. More like friends than people there to interview.

Of course the hospitality at The Tree House is always stellar. Glad to be there and part of it.

Cheers to AW. Oh yeah, You were pretty good Jon. LOLOLOL

(I'm in Florida in a area with extremely poor reception and no Internet or Wifi.)

Jon,

About the editing of all of the footage they took.  It would not be all that big of a deal for them to run you a DVD of the "UN-edited" footage.  It was all loaded in AVID editing or some other editing program (computer server) before being edited down for the segment.  It would be nothing for them to pull up that file and dump it to a DVD.  I am sure they would not mind doing that for you.  It would be a matter of just picking the file and inserting a DVD. And mailing it to you of course.  It would be awesome for you to have as a keepsake, or for the world when we are all long gone to that Laundromat in the Sky!

What a positive response , thank you everyone! It was fun and like Tom, Brent & Leon have surmised, yes there was a lot more film than was edited. In fact the interview with me was over an hour long shoot. But I think they got the kernel of what I said and what we are about.  I am hoping this segment will be a "seed" to future documentation.

Al-vacbear I would love to play pitchman for you guys !! Can't wait to get back to Keymaticland !!

Brent I will ask them if I can get a copy of the footage, I tried that with CBS but they had strong policy against that. It can't hurt to ask.

I know I am a natural ham once the cameras are rolling.

And they did enjoy my margaritas for sure !!! That was a funny bonus as when they were interviewing me in the early am Sam asked what else do we do at a  Wash In and I said well as evening wears on we make margaritas and head back down to the basement. So they got included LOL!!

Eddie kept us mostly sober with the great food he always provides so a good time was had by all , even that scene stealer Turquoisedude !!!

Love to all !! And stick around there is murmurings of an International Convention on the horizon next summer sometime...!!!!

Very well done indeed!

Presented with quality and excellence!

Thanks for your very informed and intelligent representation of this groups interest that helps "make sense" to those who are unfamiliar or who otherwise, just don't get it.

Great, great presentation!

Much appreciation
John

Ok, Jon Charles, you should be in movies. You presented it so well, the video is good, but sure was brief. It did whet your appetite to learn more, I think - something not easy to do in that short of a segment.

Lot of beautiful eye candy there.

Nice job!

Phil
