Im still looking for a hoover 512

I never have given up on my purshuit for a hoover 512 twintub. I finally found someone to get me a belt for my 510 spinner. I know a guy at a small engine shop that has a lathe that uses a thinner type of belt. he just ordered me one this morning. I wouldn't have gone to all the trouble in finding a belt for the 510 but I put so much sweat and blood into it that I want to have it wrk. only a hoover twintubber would understand my love for the old hoovers. I am still looking for a hoover 512 in the brown copper color. I saw a thread with someone that bought one for 8 bucks! what great luck is that! thanks Bill

thats the one!!!

the only problem being it is impossible for me to get it. Launderess I know you are from somewhere farther downstate ny. I am originally from staten island and I still have family down there. My dad was an old irish cop. when he retired we moved upstate. when I was just a wee lad. eons ago.lol could you keep your eyes peeled for any 512s in the ny or pa vicinity? I would really appreciate it from one newyorker to another. ps I found a place that ordered me the belt for my 510!!!and it really wasn't a bad price.11.99 now I have to be patient and wait for it just a bit. thanks Bill

by probability one has to come eventually!!!

on craigs list there are two hoover 512's currently listed both for a great price. but both are completely unobtainable. in different states far away. in my thinking I am figuring by probability one has to come up in new York sooner or later. any help is welcome. thanks bill

the august wash in possibly....

I am thinking seriously about attending the wash in in late Aug. However the prospect of maybe coming home with a certain 1960s vintage brown washer might really make the trip very fulfilling. never the less meeting you fine folks would be a very welcome happening indeed. thanks Bill

Yes, know they aren't exactly in your neck of the woods, but sometimes you have to think out of the box. Contact the seller and see if they will accept PayPal or other arrangements, then use Uship or other transport. Ask a local member if they will be willing to assist.....

Where there is a will there is a way. If one can have an ironer weighing >200lbs shifted from Iowa to NYC...

Have said this before, my Hoover TT came shipped via UPS in a very large box/crate. Only damage was to one of the wheels that managed to break through the box. This units aren't very heavy and can easily be packed and shipped.

Wow, that add gave me a headache trying to read it.

6000 RPM spin speed? Yeah, I don't think so.

the spindryers are a unique breed.

the spindriers /twintubs are a breed all of their own. I do believe you either really like them or don't like them at all. I really like them. I love the hoovers. the 510 and the elusive 512 that I am trying to find. I am working on my easy machine trying to get the pump to stop leaking. I am taking it off tomorrow and resealing it and trying to make the switching valves wrk. thanks Bill
