we rescued a Fisher Metropolitan ca. 1969, just a year newer, a couple of weeks ago - completely different animal. Ours is the BOL model for '69 whereas this is a bit more upscale, with a Dual table vs the cheapo BSR that was in ours, 3-way speakers vs 2 on ours, larger cabinet, more elaborate receiver face design, etc. What is odd is that I've never seen these kind of knobs on any Fisher... ours, though cheaper, still has the traditional Fisher brown knobs with gold caps, just like almost every other Fisher of the era. I'm guessing that someone pulled the originals, which sell as replacements on eBay for those missing the gold caps, and stuck on these really cheap looking ones.
