Phil,

Yes, TOL model? I think they may have had an electronic console one by then. This one has a mechanical rapid advance timer.
It is the old heavy belt drive type though.

Delaney, I know,

I had a portable model. I liked the forced air drying though.
It wasn't much noisier than most dishwashers made then. like DM's, for example.

Thanks Vacerator, good to hear it wasn't too loud. Even so, the sound of a dishwasher is to me, like the sound of hearing a train go by(I grew up with plenty of trains around). I typically don't stand next to the dishwasher(unless I ever get one with a window) and the sound is, for some reason(?), a really great sound.
