yes, a BSH product with the Gaggenau name on it. Bosch, Siemens, Neff, Gaggenau and Constructa are all similar products. Different names, different marketing strategies.

Gaggenau

I love their older ovens. "Spitzenklasse"

I was told by a BSH engineer that you had to be invited to purchase Gaggenau stuff, not sure how true that is though.

Tom,

Seriously? Over here they are only sold at high end appliance dealers, but anyone can purchase. They are mainly bought by wealthy clients of kitchen designers.

That BSH engineer perhaps meant that you have to be invited to become a dealer for Gaggenau. I could understand that. I don't think any brand could afford to select their clients.

Thats probably it then Louis, I thought it was odd myself when he told me.

I forgot about Koenic, the BSH label for Mediamarkt. I guess that is about the BOL as BSH gets. I don't know if the list is totally complete, but IMHO the list would be from TOL to BOL:

1. Gaggenau
2. Neff
3. Siemens
4. Bosch
5. Constructa
6. Koenic

As far as I know though, the Gaggenau oven design (what they actually are known for) is far off of the other brands.

The ovens are larger, have different self clean cycles, different heating systems etc,

Oh yes, there are definitely differences between the various products. And not all brands carry all the different products, for instance built in coffee machines. But they are all part of the BSH company.

Gaggenau ovens cont.,

One was even called a pizza oven. Back in the 90's. It was blue inside, and not very tall. More the size of a warming drawer. But I think it may have also included a rotisserie.
One year I was invited to a physicians Christmas party and it was all remodeled with Gaggenau. The hobs, steamer, deep fryer also.
Fisher & Paykel also have some nice ovens which are blue inside. LG are also, but not a sophisticated.

Gaggenau now have these pizza stones, but theirs are equipped with auxillary heating elements.
