The address in the add brochure, Detroit 26, Michigan was the address of Nash Kelvinator.

That's not really an address. "26" is the postal zone, a system used before zip codes. All this means is that Borg Warner / Norge was in the same area of Detroit as Nash / Kelvinator.

Ken, perhaps but,

could it be possible that Kelvinator built that machine back then?
Most of Borg Warners operations were still in Muncie Indiana back then.
I know the area well where the Kelvinator plant was. The front office tower still stands. The other plants in that vicinity were Detroit Diesel, a supermarket chain warehouse, and small machine tool and dye shops. Massey Ferguson was close, but in another postal code.

That machine was built by Bendix. It is an oversized bolt down Bendix. Jeff and I analyzed the service manual and it is all Bendix. Norge wanted to establish a name in the emerging automatic washer field before their top loader was ready so they sold this for a year or two. Prospective owners who were wise kept their wringer washer to provide somewhat better water extraction than this machine provided.
