The photo is the first generation styling. Subsequent models had the console located on the top rear.
In the film, "Mommy Dearest" there are two different year machines pictured in the scene with Joan Crawford and Tina folding towels. She explains of financial troubles and having to let Helga go to save money, and needing Tina to attend school at home and help out around the house.
What are they?

Mommy Dearest had two separate Lady Kenmore Combos--made by Whirlpool, but Whirlpool never looked as glam as Lady Kenmores in my opinion.

Correct! appnut,

I agree. No Whirlpool console was ever as cool looking as a Lady Kenmore.

That is true this is a cool looking one, but I was literally interpreting the subject as being control panel/consoles for WP produced combination washer/dryer.  When WP brought out the slimmer 29" combo, I believe the panel was moved to the back/top location. All of Sears' combos had standard location control panels.
