Can you still purchase new GE appliance timers for models made between 1985 up until the last filter flos? I keep finding older appliance timers listed "in stock" for various models on appliance sites like Sears, Repair Clinic and Appliance parts pros yet when I try to order them from local appliance places I keep having them tell me those parts are "discontinued" and are no longer available in any form. Even GE's official site still has timers up for sale going back to 1983 for common models yet when I get to order those exact timers I keep being told they have long since been "discontinued".
Is it that GE and others have no upgraded their sites in the last few years or do local appliance dealers use some different service center that only stocks newer parts? |
