Hey everybody,
Saw this wringer washer on Craigslist - any suggestions as to the brand? It's got an interesting aluminum agitator - almost like an "Activator" in a G.E., but with slightly curved fins. CLICK HERE TO GO TO bradross's LINK on Bn Craigslist |

Hi Brad, I hope you are well? It is from the '30's it looks like? It's not a Dexter or an ABC. My grandmother had a 30's GE and the wringer didn't look like this one nor did the agitator. A Universal or Western Electric perhaps? Have fun with this. Take care, Gary |

Brad I would guess Universal also, based on the pattern embossed in the tub. I picked up this (late 40's / early 50's?) Universal wringer in early 2009 (sold that year too). While the patterns are different, you can also see how they are similar.
Kevin
P.S... at lease the seller has a reasonable price on it. I've seen plenty of other wringers in So Cal and in much worse condition for 5X that price! |
