Hey guys... Time to thin the herd a bit... Maytag A806 washer and matching DE808 dryer... Almond... Both have some issues... I don't have the time or space to work on these, so I'm ready to give them up to a good home who would like a restoration project:
. 806 washer: console light out hard water/rust residue along the top of the wash tub agitator loose on drive shaft (broken splines?) started leaking oil into the wash cycle small & medium water levels are the same = small . DE808 dryer: console light out low temp isn't all that low . Also available: Maytag LAT9800 with all kinds of issues . Make me an offer (or just come get them out of my thinning hair): email to PeterH770@aol.com Will hold for 30 days . (Working on getting pics off my phone and onto here...) |

How are the cabinets? If they are in good shape cosmetically I'd be interested in them. |

Peter, if everything else falls through and you absolutely have to get rid of them, would you consider removing and shipping the consoles?
It might not be the restoration that an 806/808 pair deserves, but I'd make sure the key parts had a good home - they would live on in spirit by converting/upgrading other machines. I would ask to be in the back of the line to anyone else here who wanted the full machines, just want to make sure yours don't end up on the curb for the scrappers! |
