I just got home with these. I purchased them from an occasional member, Jim. He is downsizing and we worked out a deal. I'll unload them tomorrow and post more pictures.

And a Mobile Maid!  Good for you, these are great Maytags to have for your first(s).

The colors in the garage are awesome, too.

Nice machines!!! Seems like the all push button washers were always much harder to come by than the dryers. I know I used to have several of the late 60's early 70's push button dryers, but only ever had one of the washers. I do remember a guy I worked for as a teenager in the mid 70's who had one of the washers that matched the push button dryer in this picture. But that's the only one like that I ever saw.

Very pretty! And I see the washer has the coveted bakelite fabric softener dispenser. And the Maytag set looks so nice next to the Kenmores. I love matched washer/dryer sets!

Those look BEAUTIFUL! especially when they are lit up next to each other. The white light with the turquoise color just brings "FRESH & CLEAN" to mind!

When

askolover's profile picture

did Maytag stop using the dark dials and buttons like above and change to white?  I personally like these the best.  My great grandmother had a white one with this dial on it and the rounded off cabinet.  To me it just looks classier.

Maytag switched to the white buttons with the introduction of the 06 series machines. I believe that happened in 66. Like you I prefer the more vintage look of these older machines with the rounded corners, and these are absolutely beautiful examples in a very rare color.

That's a fantastic score you made on those tags and they look like they're really in great shape.

Also love how you placed them next to your Lady K's. Did you reverse the lid on the Lady or did she come to you that way? That's not normally how you see those.

What a great pair of washers! That's the Maytag I liked. My Mom had that Lady Kenmore washer set I the 1960's her set was from 1962 the year before I was born. They had the washer set until 1981...don't make them like that anymore!...

Washdaddy: I did reverse the lid on the Lady Kenmore washer. When we were using it as our daily machine, at our old house, it worked better for us.
