Does anyone know what year this Lady Kenmore model is? Was this one of the last years for the LK line?

1986.  Just like the one sitting in my garage. And technically no, not the last year.

My mom had a set very similar to these that she bought in 1986. Excellent washing and drying ability. I would love to find a set like this for myself!

shredmore??

Is that the washer that earned Kenmore washers the shredmore nickname? My grandparents had that dryer but the washer was one step below the one in the pic.

Drifted off the Lady line as being TOL and went to elite, pro and who cares what it is named crap. I would never buy one of them ever again. Everything in my house growing up was from Sears. It worked, didnt have problems but their quality is gone, I will never be a customer again.

Yes, but then NOTHING has much quality anymore. And NOTHING lasts as long as it once did. Everything is made to be disposable.

Yep, I think I'm the one that coined the term Shredmore.  And it's the very machine that gave it that name.  And my neighbor felt the same way about her 80 series washer too.
