Whirlpool 5000btu unit......

unique little machine......love the little vents.....also like how it will extend into the room......

vintage units like this are great for drowning out street noise so you can sleep....

Are those small round vents taking air out of the room or are they the second and third vents adding cold air into the room? (never saw an a/c configured with vents like that).

Carrier also had it with the same round vents, they were apparently made by Whirlpool in Canada.

Frigidaire offered very similar models in the 1960s without the round vents, also likely made by Whirlpool.

Wow, I had a Whirlpool unit like this very briefly.  I found it at the curb and it didn't make it through an entire summer, alas...
