Jackson, MS. $300

Interesting look. The sunglow accent has either worn off or been removed from both appliances and the result is a rather nice accent to the almond bodies.

No, these models are prior to the "sunglow" model. The steel blue band is correct.

Louie, I'm not so sure that's blue anymore, or ever was.

Was there a brief period when the knobs were clear and the lower panels were blue?

It looks like a SOH dryer, but I think I've seen those with blue.

Regardless, I don't mind the unpainted look at all -- if that's what these are.  Better than blue or gold that's peeling off.

Between lighting conditions and various types of cameras used, it's hard to tell sometimes what's what.  White things appear to be avocado or even pink, yellow things appear white.  You just never know.

Whatever they are, that is a nice pair of machines.

I agree, those have had the gold removed, or painted over. Looks different, not sure I care for it.

light blue control panel

I would swear my Grandmother's maytags had the light blue lower area on the control panel, as in this picture. her's was from the mid-60s (66-67)

I like this 'new' look, no matter what they did to it.....

I always thought the lower panel should match the color of the machine....then again, we can always customize them to our liking...
