I saw a post-request somewhere - sorry the price isn't reasonable, but seller will take offers. If there's rust and it's "minimal", this price is out in space.

ad:"Vintage 1950's Kitchenaide Hobart Dishwasher. Model KD-12P (pump-out model). This is a beautiful time-capsul, and is becoming quite the collector item. This dishwasher has all parts, and does run. I have not let it run through full cycle since I bought house recently, and don't want to risk leaks, as the door seal is dried out. I've looked under/behind unit, and it is in great shape for its age. There is minimal rust or corrosion, and was cared for. Make me an offer! I will not accept low-ball offers, as I am content on keeping it for a while. Thank you."

There's a whole lot of contentment in the seller's future.

Could that possibly be part of a Dishwasher/Sink Combo ?

Looks like there is a SS Counter/ Drainboard on top.

They better bake some Banana Bread soon too.

Could this have been a 'standalone' model with the optional counter top?

Translated: Maybe I'll send one of my kids to college on the proceeds.  I'm sure I have something here that's so unique we'll have bidding wars.

Maybe if it was unused or the commercial version that is all stainless I could see this price.

I think this is the post you are referring to but I doubt he would want to pay that much given he is a restorer but who knows.  Maybe he has a client with deep pockets!!

Chach - that's 2 "Rights" - right, that's him and right he wouldn't (if sane) pay that asking price. A better priced unit will come up. Thanks.
