I remember another (Tide?) detergent ad showing multiple washing machine brands, but it didn't list the brand names as this one does.   This is the first time I remember seeing this ad with all the brand names. (then again I don't check the POD daily either)

I may have a swiss cheese memory (full of holes), but I don't remember seeing these brand names on an "automatic": Firestone, Ambassador, Barton, Zenith, AMC.     Also never knew Dexter made an automatic washer, but I'm guessing it was just a rebadged Philco.

No GE machine... How odd!  Come to think of it, no Beatty/Dominion models either, but that would really be pushing my luck.... LOL

There is a mention of the 'One Minute' washer, though.  Someone had a thread here asking about them recently, no?

And they left out GE, WH, Bendix and the few combos that were starting to be introduced by this time.

I wonder how the Tide advertising/marketing folks determined the order in which the washing machines appeared in this ad? And yes, a few brands are missing -- including Wards Signature which begs the question: does anyone know when did Montgomery Ward introduced their "Signature" house brand?

Well, there's a picture of a Zenith automatic which pops up now and again, likewise with Dexter. AMC and Ambassador were department store buying groups (AMC was Aimcee Mercantile which generally had the "best" store in town--Hudsons/Daytons/Stix Baer and Fuller/...), Ambassador was Gimbels (I think...) so it's perfectly believable that they would have had washing machines;
