I remember another (Tide?) detergent ad showing multiple washing machine brands, but it didn't list the brand names as this one does. This is the first time I remember seeing this ad with all the brand names. (then again I don't check the POD daily either)
I may have a swiss cheese memory (full of holes), but I don't remember seeing these brand names on an "automatic": Firestone, Ambassador, Barton, Zenith, AMC. Also never knew Dexter made an automatic washer, but I'm guessing it was just a rebadged Philco.

Well, there's a picture of a Zenith automatic which pops up now and again, likewise with Dexter. AMC and Ambassador were department store buying groups (AMC was Aimcee Mercantile which generally had the "best" store in town--Hudsons/Daytons/Stix Baer and Fuller/...), Ambassador was Gimbels (I think...) so it's perfectly believable that they would have had washing machines;
