Hello Matt,
First off, I hope you'll be posting some photos of your new acquisition! The Model 32 is a fine machine. I have considerable experience in restoration of the Model 90 and 30 --- the 30 is almost identical to the 32, except for the wringer post. First off, check to see if the worm gear shaft turns...you'll have to remove the belt cover and try to turn the pulley manually. If that turns with no problem, then the next step is to attend to the motor. I've had success in similar situations where all the motor needed was a shot of WD-40 in the two oil ports - one on the front and one on the back (by the drive shaft.) Before plugging it in, manually turn the motor pulley and if it turn freely, then plug the motor in and see what happens. Let us all know how you made out. ...Brad CLICK HERE TO GO TO bradross's LINK |
