It seems wierd to downgrade from a $900 800 Series High MOL Bosch to a $500 MOL GE, but I think it will be worth it..
I wound up getting it $489.00 after discounts and savings and getting an additional $30 back in bonus points, so thats kinda what cinched the deal... I also just couldn't commit my self to buying a Whirlpool made anything. I dunno where GE makes there dishwashers either, but assuming Mexico or China.. That was the othe rbig point of a Bosch or Maytag, but oh well... The last load will run through the bosch tonight and tomorrow I go pick up the GE and install it, so this weekend Ill post pictures of how it runs and so forth (I couldn't believe Sears actually had the thing in stock, thats the other reason i got it) |

not China. Perhaps some in Mexico now, the newest models, but my 2011 Profile was made in Appliance Park in Louisville. No problems with it. It runs super quiet also. |

little difference from 54 or 56 decibles, let alone a DW that runs at 45, or 52, but then I'm 56 myself. Up around 57 DB is noisy, like me. |

This GE architecture is pretty darn good. It's not without its nagging little issues, but overall, like my Profile machine I got in January, it washes very very well.
I think you'll enjoy it. They're mostly reliable. AND, they are all made in Kentucky at GE's Appliance Park. Sure, now, some of the parts are Chinese, like the motors. But they're all assembled and designed here. |
